yes, we still exist...

Well, after my last post, you have all probably assumed that I didn't survive the last semester of college. However, here I am. Nathan and I both survived our first semester of college and we love it! :) We are on Christmas break now and loving break as well. It's very nice not to have to worry about a big paper or a final exam. I do miss all my college friends though and can't wait to see them again in January! :)

Here are some pictures from this past semester...

Michelle and I at the Memorial Day picnic.
Michelle taught my English class this
past semester, so I had to call her "Miss K." :)
It took me awhile to get used to it!

Me and my wonderful twin! :)

This was on election night. A bunch of us girls had gone to the
Country Springs Hotel to watch election returns, but we left shortly after
we realized our party was losing. :(
I'll have to say.....those are really good fake smiles!

Here's a pic of Nathan's fellowship, the Judson Fellowship.
Nathan is in the bottom row, second from the right. :)

(that's my fellowship!!!)

Here's a picture of our freshmen class at the beginning of the semester.
This year's freshmen class was record-breaking for BCM. :)
It's great to be part of history.... :)

Nathan and I are officially: COLLEGE BUMS
We have finally made it to college! :)
We are attending Baptist College of Ministry in Menomonee Fall, WI.
Here's the link, check it out! :)  http://www.bcmedu.org/
Here are some college facts about us:
  • I am in the Goforth fellowship, and Nathan is in the Judson fellowship!
  • I am studying Secondary Education and Nathan is Studying Music(of course!). :)
  • We have just survived the first two-week block of school! Woohoo! :)
  • On Monday, we enter into what has been said to be the most intense two-week block of the entire school year! Will we survive?
Check back in a couple of weeks! If I don't post again, then you can assume that I didn't survive.

Junior Retreat

A while back (a LONG while back) I was able to counsel for a Junior Retreat at
Camp Joy. I had a FULL cabin and all the girls were very energetic!
Let's just say that I didn't get very much sleep that night... ;)
Here are some pictures of my crazy girls! :)
Sadly, I can't remember all of their names...
so I'll just leave you with pictures.

eating ice cream from the snack shack....

this girl loved to draw and spent all her spare time
drawing pictures for me. :) so sweet! :)

 in the bookstore...

 at the air cannons...

 in the fun castle...

some of the girls wanted to go down the toboggan run
even though there was hardly any snow.
It was more like a mud slide.... :-/

Pastor Bob Loggans was the speaker for the weekend.
He is great with kids! :)

 song time...
 competitive activity....our team won! :)

group picture!! :)
of course, they had to get a crazy picture! :)
It was such a great weekend! I loved every one of my girls
even though they were quite a handful at times! :)
Believe it or not, I was sad to see them go...

Walker Rally in Wauwatosa

A long time ago (back when there was still a little snow on the
ground and we had temperatures similar to that of the ice age),
Michelle and I attended a rally for Scott Walker in
Wauwatosa, WI. There was a pretty good crowd there. :)
There were also many guest speakers there!
 Senator Leah Vukmir
you can always count on seeing some great signs
at these rallys. :)

 Rebecca Kleefisch
First Lady Tonette Walker and one of her sons Alex

Mrs. Walker gave a pretty good speech. :)
even the dogs like Walker... :)

 Senator Alberta Darling
 Tommy Tompson
Michelle and I just about went numb so we decided to walk
across the street to the Pick 'n Save to get the blood flowing.
It was interesting walking in Pick 'n Save with our Walker signs. ;)
As I was taking Michelle's picture, this old beat up van drove up....
the ancient driver of the van gave us a thumbs up for our sign though! :)

 wow...can you say...radical???

walking down the street with our signs....

 Assembly majority leader, Jeff Fitzgerald

After Fitzgerald finished his speech, I saw him walking on the sidewalk
all by himself. So of course I jumped at the opportunity
to go and introduce myself...and of course, get a picture! :)

 a glimpse of the crowd.....

:) WE STAND WITH WALKER! :)
 stands for...
Thank God For Scott Walker    :)

 State Treasurer Kurt Schuller
Senator Glenn Grothman
 Mark Neumann

on the bus back to the park and ride...trying to thaw out!
It was incredibly cold that day, but worth every minute of it! :)
